a.  Diagnostic Test: Common Errors

                                     i.        What time are your friends coming?

                                   ii.        Have you done laundry?

                                 iii.        How did the accident happen?

                                 iv.        Who called late here // here late?

                                   v.        à What person called here (=the location where you are) late (=late yesterday/last night)?  

b.  Review Wh- and Y/N Question Structure.

c.   Turn the statements into questions (handout).

d.  Game: Toss the ball

                                     i.        Make a circle. One student has the ball. They throw it to another student and ask them a question.

4.  Present Perfect Tense

a.  For: (1) Experiences; (2) Recently happened; (3) Relevant to the present; (4) Began in the past and continues.

b.  Example sentences:

                                     i.        Experience: I’ve been to Germany.

                                   ii.        Recently happened: Class has (just) finished.

                                 iii.        Relevant to the present: I’ve lost my keys.

                                 iv.        Began in the past and continues: I’ve lived in DC for 1 year. // I’ve lived in DC since August 2014. 

c.   Experiences: Complete 8.3, p. 17.
